Cultural Competence
As a cultural-developmental psychologist, I understand how deeply our upbringing shapes how we see the world. Our culture influences our values, beliefs, goals, and relationships. Sometimes, there can be tension between cultural values—for instance, when family expectations prioritize togetherness over individual pursuits. When religion or spirituality conflicts with cultural traditions, it can add another layer of complexity.
While I have experience with many cultural traditions worldwide and close connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I approach every client’s experience as unique. I ask questions to understand how cultural values may be contributing to stress and work collaboratively to find solutions that respect and honor a client’s cultural context, rather than assuming the values of the dominant American culture.

LGBTQ+
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the unique ways spirituality and religion can intersect with our lives. For some, spirituality is a source of strength, connection, and joy, offering opportunities to embrace and celebrate every part of who they are. For others, negative experiences with faith traditions may have created challenges, leaving questions about how to rebuild trust and find belonging within a spiritual framework.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your connection with the Divine, heal from past religious trauma, or explore spirituality in a way that feels authentic and affirming, I’m here to support you. Together, we can navigate these questions with compassion and openness, creating a space where your full self is welcomed and celebrated.

Awakening and Non-Duality
Awakening and non-duality can be profound, life-altering experiences. They often bring a deep sense of peace and connection but can also raise challenging questions about identity, purpose, and how to live in the world. These shifts may feel isolating at times, as it can be difficult to explain what you’re experiencing to others who haven’t walked a similar path.
I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space for exploring these transformative experiences. Whether you’re navigating the initial stages of awakening, integrating non-dual insights into daily life, or seeking clarity amidst the complexities of this journey, we can work together to find balance and understanding. With a blend of spiritual wisdom and psychological tools, I can help you make sense of your experience, offering guidance to support both your inner and outer worlds.

Land Acknowledgment
Fox Grove Spiritual Counseling is located on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Pequot, Nipmuc, Niantic, Narragansett, and Wampanoag peoples—tribes who continue to nourish, protect, and love this land today. Regardless of where we are located, we all have a responsibility to acknowledge those who came before us, care for the Earth and each other, and support the Indigenous peoples who have been doing this work for generations.
Fox Grove Spiritual Counseling is named in honor of Fox Point, the area of Providence, Rhode Island, where this practice first took root. This land, known as Moshassuck to the Narragansett people—meaning “the river where moose watered”—carries a deep history that extends far beyond colonial names and borders. Though this practice now reaches people worldwide, it remains deeply tied to the land that shaped its origins. In honoring this place, we honor the people, plants, and animals who have been—and continue to be—part of its story.
I encourage you to learn about the Indigenous history of the land you are on. A great place to start is Native Land Digital, an interactive map that can help you explore the traditional territories, languages, and treaties connected to your region: https://native-land.ca
